Eh “Maui’s finest”: thanks for all your help while I was stranded at the Ma’alaea gas station a few weeks ago. In case you don’t remember me, I was the one who stopped you and asked you to help me with my gas tank cap. It was stripped and I had no strength to get it to open, I was COMPLETELY out of gas. That left me stranded there. You were nice enough to tell me, “Oh yeah, my car has the same problem. You gotta take it to the mechanic and have him fix it.” Brah, it was 8 o’clock at night and I was with my 11-year-old daughter. That was all you—a police officer—could do for me? You drove off saying you were sorry, but you never offered to help get us home safely. You didn’t even offer a good effort to get my damn gas cap off. I guess if you had, that would have required you to put your bag of Carl’s Jr. food down. Thanks again. I feel so safe knowing we have cops like you on our side.
