This 90,000-ton liner is listed as one of Royal Caribbean’s newest vessels. Her many features include a rock-climbing wall, golf simulator and something rather creepy called “The Colony Club,” which Royal Caribbean describes as “a unique British colonial-style lounge with self-leveling pool tables.” She does respectable in a CDC inspection, but suffered a few lapses those blokes in the old colonies might have found a bit underdone. For instance, inspectors found that the whirlpool spa water wasn’t being changed on a daily basis. There were “cracked and stained” coffee cups at the Thirst Quencher Station. There were “soiled” bowls and pans in the Deck 5 Room Service Pantry and Deck 4 Main Galley, respectively. But most disturbing was the “jug of bleach” inspectors found in a “dishrack of soiled glasses” at the Lido Bar. Blimey!
