The leeks I got from Kula Fields are gorgeous this week. Resembleing a giant green onion of sorts, the leek is much more fibrous and can withstand more cooking than the delicate scallion. I think this could be my New Years Resolution. Make and drink fresh squeezed local citrus daily. It was quick and simple on this old fashioned plastic manual juicer I got second hand.
