Esquire
recently ran a feature surveying female glamour magazine employees on what they liked and disliked about men’s fashion. It was thoughtful, provocative and even a little humorous. It was also completely irrelevant. “Men’s fashion”—what the hell is that? For most men—and I know this because I’m a man—the biggest fashion question they’ll face in a week is whether to wear a shirt that has a collar.
Far more important is, in my humble opinion, what us guys think of women’s fashion. To find out, I distributed the survey below to a scientifically derived sample of males. Their answers, given in complete anonymity, produced a rich batch of results that were both expected and surprising.
Oh, you want to know how many guys I questioned? Oh, a lot… Look, many men generously donated their time to answer these questions—way more than… eight. What do you think this is, Gallup?
[NOTE: No men were harmed in the course of this experiment.] MTW
