Take me to the Roller Derby, baby. Golly-gee-whiz, why are people always complaining about “modern youth” and “loose morals”? The Kardashian
sisters might give us a bad name, but if all 3 Jonas Brothers crushing teenage fantasies by wearing purity rings doesn’t make up for that, there is the even more shocking fact that there are still teenagers around who willingly (I’m assuming…it’s possible that they were blackmailed.) participate in something called the “It’s A-Bout Time” Women’s Roller Derby. The Maui Roller Girls Crazy 808’s and Garden Island Renegade Rollerz (Kauai) will face off on March 27th, 3 PM, at the Central Maui Boys and Girls Outdoor Basktball Courts. That’s right, they used a Z instead of an S…how rebellious. Come over for this Roller Skating Showdown, and please watch your P’s an Q’s… bring towels, beach chairs, and snacks. But no drugs, alcohol, or smoking at this event. For more info -hey, maybe you’d make a good roller derby competitor- contact the Maui Roller Girls at mauirollergirls@gmail.com By: Sierra Brown
