Skyline Eco-Adventures recently presented a $1,000 check to the Pacific Cancer Foundation on Maui in support of the nonprofit’s work with cancer patients, families and survivors. The money was raised by Trilogy Sailing’s Blue ‘Aina campaign, with Skyline as the corporate sponsor of the campaign’s recent reef clean-up.
Fifty volunteers participated in the reef clean up off Mala ramp outside of Lahaina to support the Blue’Aina campaign. The day’s event was catered by Diamond Resorts on Maui and crewed by Trilogy Sailing.
The object of Trilogy’s Blue ‘Aina campaign is to clean up and maintain Maui’s reefs, educate the community, and raise money for nonprofits. Trilogy and The Surfrider Foundation say they are committed to cleaning 12 reefs in 12 months. Together, their efforts target reefs in distress between South Maui and the Westside, along with an annual event on Lanai.
