For those caught up in the drama unfolding over at Akaku, Maui County’s public access cable station, the nonprofit’s board of directors will be meeting tonight at the Akaku Center in Kahului. The meeting, according to Akaku’s policies and procedures, is “open to the public.”
No agenda has yet been posted on the office’s front door, and Akaku Administrative Director Terrie Roberts hasn’t yet responded to an email inquiry on the agenda.
Click here for our Dec. 4, 2014 story “Stream Down” on the allegations made by recently terminated Akaku Programming Director Shawn Michael–as well as two former employees–that the board and station CEO Jay April are overseeing a “hostile” workplace.
The meeting takes place at 5:30pm at the station offices: 333 Dairy Rd., suite 104 in Kahului.
