If you’re fed up with the parking situation in Wailuku (which is to say, if you ever park in Wailuku), make plans to attend a meeting this Thursday, June 16, where the Department of Public Works will, according to a County release, present a “conceptual design” for a new parking structure (to be located in the same location as the current municipal lot) and answer questions.
A good one to start with: what will be done to mitigate the loss of parking this project will surely create? (Also, while we’re getting new parking spots, can we also get a new meter maid? Just asking.)
The meeting will start at 6pm in the planning conference room on the first floor of the Kalana Pakui Building, 250 S. High Street, Wailuku. For more info call the Department of Public Works, 270-7845.
