Pointing out Saturday Night Live‘s flaws is a popular — and pretty easy — sport, especially when the show is going through cast-overhaul growing pains. But sometimes, they really nail it. Last week’s episode was one such time.
In a sketch skewering Time magazine‘s choice of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg as Person of the Year — over WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange — SNL gave this money line to castmember Bill Hader, channeling Assange:
“I give you private information on corporations for free and I’m a villain. Mark Zuckerberg gives your private information to corporations for money and he’s ‘Man of the Year.'”
It’s funny –and it hurts — because it’s true.
