Looks like Maui Community Correctional Center lost an inmate, so to speak. The state Department of Public Safety is asking everyone to be on the look for this guy, who apparently failed to return from a day pass (even though his parole had already been “tentatively approved”). Anyway, here’s the news release they just sent us:
HONOLULU – Maui Community Correctional Center (MCCC) inmate Raymond Ahuna failed to return from a day pass yesterday (Thursday 2/5/15). Sheriffs and Maui Police were notified.
Ahuna left MCCC at 8 a.m. and failed to return at the scheduled time of 6 p.m.
Ahuna is 43 years old. He is 5’11” and weighs 260 lbs. He has brown hair and black eyes. Ahuna has various tattoos. His right shoulder says “HMC”. His right underarm shows a hat and glasses and he has the letter “P” on one finger on his right hand. (No photos of tattoos on record).
Ahuna is serving time for Forgery and Theft. His parole was tentatively approved. His release date was pending verification of an appropriate residence.
Ahuna is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
If you see him please call 911.
