Little Wailuku Water Co. (formerly Wailuku Agribusiness) climbs a couple notches this week on news that nothing much new is happening with the complaint Earthjustice/Hui O Na Wai Eha/Maui Tomorrow filed against it alleging illegal water dumping, which the company vehemently denies. Sure, there’s mediation coming, and then maybe a contested case hearing after that, but The Maui News’ May 10 article on the fight said nothing’s been scheduled. And poor Maui Land drops another notch after that embarrassing May 9 Maui Planning Commission hearing on the company’s proposed Pulelehua project. Here’s one of the biggest Westside projects in a long time, put forth by one of Hawai’i’s richest landowners, and a bunch of state agencies couldn’t even bother to send people to testify. For shame… MTW
