ADA/WARNER MUSIC GROUP:
After a big weekend of shows that had the band reuniting with 311 & warming up for Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar, The Throwdowns are gearing up for the national launch of their debut album “Don’t Slow Down”. The album, re-released by ADA/Warner Music Group, is set to launch with a concert at Honolulu’s Pipeline Cafe on Friday April 30th, 2010.
GOOD WORD FROM METALLICA:
Backstage at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, The Throwdowns were introduced to Metallica’s James Hetfield. Having listened to both The Throwdowns’ soundcheck & set, Hetfield’s take was that the band has “a really big sound”. Throwdowns trip out.
ROADRUNNER MUSIC HALL:
As a lead up to the main event, The Throwdowns will be performing at Clearchannel’s Roadrunner Music Hall on Thursday April 29th. Star 101.9 will be giving away tickets to 50 lucky fans. The Throwdowns are honored to join the prestigious list of artists who have performed at the Hall. The concert will be streamed live on the web, so you can watch from home, office or phone!
