The Queen Ka`ahumanu Center is launching a new magazine that will be distributed to nearly 100,000 people across the island.
The inaugural issue of QKC will feature fashion trends and dining, Queen K’s legacy and throwback memories, community support and stories and an event calendar.
“QKC has been welcoming generations of residents through our doors to shop, dine, play, learn and connect with one another for more than four decades,” said Toni Rojas, the center’s Marketing Director. “The visual and editorial quality are inspired by the values and interests of our Maui County community. This publication is a way to celebrate our unique culture and continue to create memories and traditions for future generations.”
QKC will be published three times annually–November, March and July–with a distribution of more than 98,000. The new magazine will be distributed island-wide, including seven locations at the mall. It also will be mailed to more than 48,000 residents. Digital copies will be available at Queenkaahumanucenter.com and Mauimagazine.net.
The debut magazine cover boasts two local residents, Kaimana Brummel and Ashley Takitani Leahey. QKC will be interviewing future Maui County resident cover models who exemplify spirit and generosity in their personal and professional lives. The new publication will be on stands beginning Nov. 21, 2016.
