Maverick Helicopters opened its Maui operations last month and celebrated its new location with a Lei Day soiree. The event kicked off with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Pledge of Allegiance led by local Boy Scouts and a Hawaiian blessing of the building and helicopters.
The new Maui operation is the company’s fifth permanent location and first venture outside the Southwest United States; the award-winning division of Maverick Aviation Group has established operations in Nevada and Arizona.
Company executives were joined by friends, family and local tourism professionals for the private May 1 reception. Among the attendees were founders and owners of Maverick Helicopters Greg and Brenda Rochna; Mayor Alan Arakawa; the Economic Development Director for the County of Maui Office of Economic Development Teena Rasmussen; President of Maverick Helicopters John Buch; Vice President of Marketing for Maverick Helicopters Bryan Kroten; Vice President of Government Relations for Maverick Helicopters Brian Brusa and Vice President of Operations for Maverick Helicopters Dale Cowley, among others.
“We had a fabulous evening surrounded by great friends, clients, our amazing team and many others to celebrate our opening in Hawaii,” said Brenda Rochna. “We are so excited to be flying in and around the beautiful island of Maui.”
Maverick Helicoipters offers three excursion options including the Maui Dream (starting at $399 per person), a full island excursion; Molokai Voyage (starting at $369 per person), a multi-island expedition over Maui and Molokai; and Maui Spirit (starting at $329 per person), highlighting Haleakala National Park and the Hana Rainforest.
