Unlike other booksellers in the nation, Maui Friends of the Library–which runs the only used bookstores on Maui–is expanding. If you’ve ever been to the hot and dusty Pu’unene location, then you know it’s a great place to find titles, but quite a bit off the beaten path. Now they have a new spacious and air-conditioned location at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center, open seven days a week during normal mall hours. But what would make this location even better? More books!
Maui Friends of the Library recycles your books and brings them to the public at affordable prices. They are currently taking donations of books and magazines and other media types. Just bring your donations directly to the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center location, next to Sears. This location also sells new books as well as used.
