The Kamehameha Schools has opened a new Resource Center in Maui, located at the Millyard offices in Wailuku. The KS Resource Centers serve as a link between the island communities and Kamehameha Schools. With locations throughout the islands, each center serves to perpetuate the legacy of Ke Ali‘i Bernice Pauahi Bishop by helping families with the application process to KS programs, such as Admissions, Financial Aid & Scholarship Services, Ho‘oulu Hawaiian Data Center and the Exploration Series.
Tracy Kealoha has been named the Maui Resource Center manager. Kealoha comes to the position from Career and Post-High Counseling and Guidance.
“The Maui situation really was in response to the Strategic Plan 2030 meetings in the communities,” said KS Resource Center Director Pono Ma‘a. “Some of the feedback we were having was that Maui needed easier access to KS programs and services off the campus. We were already looking to try to extend service and that helped to get things moving. The goal is to provide service in central Maui, through the Millyard office in Wailuku, while also to providing rural service through our one-stop shops in Hāna and possibly Lahaina.”
The new office is located at 210 Imi Kala St., #203, Wailuku. Kealoha can be reached via email at trkealoh@ksbe.edu or by phone at 808-242-1891. Hours for the new office are Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm.
