Ebb & Flow Arts, Inc. (E&FA), Hawaii’s only nonprofit presenter of modern music and multimedia events, recently received a grant worth $20,000 from Edward T. Cone Foundation in New York City. This support from the mainland will help E&FA finish its current, six event season and allow for the production of a second digital album Solo and Chamber Music by Edward T. Cone. The album will feature artists from across the country that frequently perform at E&FA concerts including Ebb & Flow Ensemble, Duo Diorama, Sarn Oliver & Friends and world-renowned pianist Adam Tendler.
Founded in 1999 by composer and pianist Robert Pollock, E&FA aims to enrich and enlighten people from across the globe by educating children and presenting contemporary music, art and multimedia events. “We fulfill our mission by presenting concerts and education programs to the public,” said Pollock in a June 25 press release. “This recent grant from a foundation devoted to the perpetuation of new American music continues to make our work possible.”
E&FA will offer their North South East West Festival of New Music this summer. All events are free and will feature the following artists:
