Duke’s Beach House recently presented several Maui students awards for winning its second annual Holiday T-Shirt Design Contests. During its fourth anniversary party, the restaurant named Stephanie Lawless of Lahainaluna High School as the winner in the Adult Holiday T-Shirt Design Contest. The Facebook Fan Favorite winner was Julie Rasos of Maui High School. Nyla Nobriga of Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary School won the Keiki Holiday T-Shirt Design Contest.
“We were thrilled with the overwhelming response to both T-shirt design contests,” said Logo & Sportswear Manager Lauren Kiek. “The designs submitted were so creative and we were so happy to be able to recognize our winners and finalists at our fourth anniversary party.”
Lawless received $300 and an engraved award; also, her design was produced as a limited edition holiday adult t-shirt. Rasos won $300 and an engraved award. Nobriga won a $100 restaurant voucher and $500 for her school; Lynn Kaho’ohalohalo, Principal of Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary School, accepted the check on behalf of the school.
The honorable mention keiki winners included Neysha Fuentes and Jack Regula of Sacred Hearts School; Kai Claydon of Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary School; Raeven Bala of Kahului Elementary School; Sofia Micci of Montessori Hale O Keiki; Cael Yasutake of King Kamehameha III Elementary School; and Jacob Metz and Kalia Kapisi of Kalama Intermediate School. Each honorable mention student received $25 vouchers for the restaurant.
The holiday T-shirts are available for purchase at the Duke’s logo wear counter. The adult shirt is $29.50 and is available in both men’s and women’s sizes. The keiki holiday shirt is available for $22.95.
