The Maui Nonprofit Director’s Association recently elected Cesar Gaxiola as its 24th president. Gaxiola, the executive director of the J. Walter Cameron Center, will serve the MNPDA until 2015.
Gaxiola’s goals for the year include building the association’s membership in order to gain more resources and offer more help to MNPDA members.
“Serving as the President of the MNPDA will give me an opportunity to learn about my fellow directors, their agencies and how they impact the community as well an opportunity to serve my fellow directors and give back to a great organization,” Gaxiola said in a statement released after his election; Gaxiola was installed in his new post on Dec. 12.
The MNPDA was founded in 1989. The organization provides a recognized forum for nonprofit organizations to exchange personal and professional support and to cultivate resources to benefit themselves, their organizations and the community of Maui.
