Pukalani Superette recently donated $1,374.39 to Aloha House to help the organization continue their important work in the community. The funds were raised through generous donations from Superette customers over the past few months.
“We have a loyal and generous customer base that make these donations possible,” said Pukalani Superette owner Myles Nakashima. “We are pleased to be able to help Aloha House and support our local community.”
Aloha House, Inc. (AHI) is a private, nonprofit corporation established in 1977 for the purpose of providing outpatient and residential treatment for individuals addicted to alcohol and/or other drugs. Since that time, the mission has expanded to include provision of comprehensive, family-centered behavioral health interventions for the prevention and treatment of individual and family dysfunction.
Each donation period, Pukalani Superette selects a different local charity or organization to support. The current canister collections will support Boys & Girls Club of Makawao. Donation canisters can be found at each checkout to drop in loose change or make a donation.
