We already send Arizona our excess prisoners, and now the dysfunctional relationship deepens: Lawmakers in the Grand Canyon State are considering a bill that would require all Presidential candidates to produce an “original long-form birth certificate” to get on the state ballot. At the same time, Hawaii lawmakers are considering a bill that would let people look at Obama’s birth records (for a $100 fee), skirting privacy laws.
Whatever the outcome, the winner will be the birthers—who just want people to keep talking about them—and the loser will be, well, everyone else.
