CHINESE NEW YEAR IN LAHAINA

Ring in the lunar new year and celebrate the Year of the Dog! Enjoy lion dancing with martial arts, drums, cymbals and firecrackers. Once firecrackers are lit at 5 pm, the lions will dance down Front Street. From 2 to 8 pm, enjoy cultural art activities, like calligraphy, mahjong, knot tying and lantern making. There are presentations about Chinese New Year history and ancient tomb dogs in the Cookhouse. Chinese foods are offered for sale in the garden.
