I started making pancakes for my sisters and me about thirty years ago. I wish i still had that first cookbook my mom got me…i still use some of those recipes i learned so long ago.
When betty and I make pancakes saturday mornings we get to choose what flavors go with them. Sometimes its coconut syrup, other times triple berry and powder sugar.
Today betty wanted blueberry, and i made them blue for fun, with juice of blueberries.
I was craving my old favorite papaya on pancakes with peanut butter schmeared on them, and real maple syrup drizzled over it all. The taste of papaya brightens every bite, while the peanut butter adds protein, and keeps it all from getting too sweet. Try It!
