Jamba Juice is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its “Pink Whirl” campaign. Throughout the month of October, customers who donate $1 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation at any Jamba Juice in Hawaii will receive a coupon sheet worth up to $8 that can be used toward juices, smoothies and foods.
“One in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime—a statistic that Jamba Juice hopes to combat by supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation and promoting a healthy lifestyle with wholesome food and good nutrients,” said Donna Yano, VP of Jamba Juice Hawaii. Jamba Juice Smoothies are packed with four to five servings of fruit and loaded with vitamins, minerals, fiber and other nutrients, according to the company. The company’s “Sip for Hope—Pink Whirl” campaign encourages the public to eat plenty of fruits and green and orange vegetables, which can help reduce the risk of breast cancer, according to NationalBreastCancer.org.
Jamba Juice also will distribute free smoothies Oct. 19 at a fundraising tent during the Susan G. Komen Hawaii Race for the Cure, which starts and finishes in Kapiolani Park, across the street from Jamba’s new Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel store. The race is held annually by the Hawaii Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a national non-profit foundation dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front by donating and funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education, prevention, and treatments. Visit komenhawaii.org for more details or call 808-754-6659; registration is currently open.
Jamba Juice has 33 stores on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island and employs more than 700 people.
