Paina Food Court

I love coming to campus to eat. You are at the very start of the food chain on maui here with fresh student chef faces behind the scenes cooking up breakfast and lunch here. Lots of different food options at the food court too, the newest one being that they are going to offer $5 daily specials. Its a good way to start the semester.
Chris Speeres, Maui Culinary Academy Director, says, “The Maui Culinary Academy is eager to “Partner in Health” with our college community to offer specially prepared $5.00 menu’s that feature fresh and wholesome fruits and vegetables, legumes, as well as fish, and whole grains. Developing an awareness in our culinary students that “Chefs” play a central role in combating Hawaii’s unique dietary challenges through thoughtful menu planning that focuses on health and wellness is essential to their greater understanding of today’s most pressing and current eating style.”
Variations of the Pa’ina Plates include the new Piadine flatbread sandwich. “The new Piadine is a flatbread sandwich option that is healthy and very tasty. We believe it will be extremely popular among the entire campus,” said Ed Costa, General Manager, Sodexo. “We will also offer options prepared from the World Plate and Farm to Table areas.” Sodexo is the food corporation partnering with Maui Culinary Academy.
The Pa’ina Plates special began today, January 10th when classes resumed on campus. The specials will be clearly identified with standing flags displaying the Maui Culinary Academy logo.
