Vineyard Food Company is trying out a series of Pop-Up Dinners at their Wailuku restaurant. The diner can choose between a family night out or a gourmet affair. If this trial period is successful, they will continue them throughout the summer.

Their Family Fridays feature affordable comfort food that even the pickiest of eaters will enjoy. This Friday, the Family dinner will feature “Mouthwatering Meatloaf” with your choice of side dish (garlic mashed potatoes, mac n’ cheese, grilled veggies or other vegetarian salads), a drink and desserts by Vineyard Food Co. baker Daniel Southmayd. The following dinners will feature spaghetti and hot dogs/hamburgers. $15 adults, $8 kids. July 13, 20, 27, 5:30-7:30pm. Vineyard Food Co. (1951 E. Vineyard St); 808-243-3663; vineyardfoodcompany.com

For the more refined palette, Vineyard Food Company is also hosting Sophisticated Saturdays, where you can enjoy a gourmet four-course dinner. This Saturday’s menu, “Born on the Bayou,” will feature Louisiana-themed dishes like poached shrimp, chicken and seafood gumbo and chocolate brioche bread pudding. The following menus are “Delicious Duck Dinner” and “A Provencale Feast.” $50-60/person. July 14, 21, 28, seatings at 6:30, 7 and 7:30pm. Vineyard Food Co. (1951 E. Vineyard St); 808-243-3663; vineyardfoodcompany.com
