Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea Presents Its 2nd Annual Brewhaha: East vs West
Asia and Europe’s top-shelf beers go head-to-head at this not-to-be-missed oceanfront party
Wailea, Maui, Hawaii (September 11, 2012)—Last year, Four Seasons Resort Maui had the island abuzz with a tip of the proverbial hat to an unexpected suspect for the luxury resort: beer. On September 28th, 2012, from 630pm to 830pm, the Resort will do it again, as they host the 2nd Annual Brewhaha: East vs West. In short, if you are a lover of fine beers, fabulous food and stunning locales, the buck stops here.
This year’s theme features a friendly competition between the East (Japan, Australia and India) and the West (Belgium, Germany, Scotland and England). International beers were hand-picked by beverage manager, Nick Martin. “It’s not often you get the opportunity to sample 14 craft beers from around the globe,” says Martin. “This year, the event will be more interactive; the crowd will be voting on which region they prefer. It’ll be interesting to see which side comes out on top.”
Maui’s Chef of the Year, Executive Chef Roger Stettler, and his talented culinary team have perfectly paired each beer with menu selections from its respective country. The Ocean Front Lawn will be lined with various live action stations, where guests can sample the delicious bites and tasty brews while mingling with other diners in a casual Hawaiian-style atmosphere.
