The annual Hawaii Food and Wine Festival starts this Friday, Oct. 14 and goes through Sunday, Oct. 16. This year, foodie fans and professionals can watch world-class culinary talent at five separate events. On Friday, the Roy’s Annual Golf Classic will be the kick-off event for the weekend celebrations at the Ka`anapali Golf Course; there’ll be a golf tournament, gourmet foods, beer, cocktails and dinner at the 19th hole. On Saturday, there will be a free locally grown Farmers Market at Whalers Village, and the “Scandal! The Dark and Stormy Underbelly of Cocktails” mixology meet-up at the Westin Ka`anapali Ocean Resort Villas. Saturday night, guests can attend the main event at the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa with 13 celebrity chefs on the Anuenue Lawn. On Sunday, guests can go to “Soaring Palates” at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. It’s a six-course dinner featuring chef food pairings and enticing spirits.
