Cliff Dive Bar
in the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa
2605 Kaanapali Pkwy.,
Lahaina, 661-0031
Location: On the Kaanapali strip of resorts, right next to Black Rock.
Decor: Beach, sunshine, ocean views, whales, chicks in bikinis, shirtless dudes, happy resort goers, shady and non shady seated outdoor cocktails and dining. This is the place to pretend tourist, while you take in tropical drinks and fresh grilled food.
Name Origin: Black Rock’s real name is Pu’u Kekaa. In Hawaiian tradition, it is the place where natural forces come together – Pu`u Keka`a, “hill creating strength through enlightenment”. As day transitions to night, the Sheraton Maui Resort retells the story of King Kahekili in its nightly Cliff Dive Ceremony that starts around sunset. This 40 year old tradition has drawn visitors from all over the world.
What else: Live entertainment also starts daily around sunset.
Grinds: The menu is pretty extensive for this outdoor bar, the chefs are grilling right there on the outdoor grill, I recommend any of their grilled items from the veggies to the skewers and burgers. They also have a daily special, like burger and brew sunday and monday $18, wrap wednesday $13, Flatbread Friday $12.
Happy Hours: 4pm to 6pm.
Drink Specials: $4 draft beer, $4 standard well drinks, $5 margaritas (regular), $7 tropicals, $6 wine
Bonus: Friday’s Happy Hour is 4-pm-close.
