High school is where we learn to be functioning human beings. No wonder we’re all so desperate to fit in. While at the time it seems like you’re learning how to be a likeable, well-rounded person, you’re really just trying to find out where you specifically fit into this huge mass of personalities. But it’s really just a test-run. Every day you’re forging new relationships but it takes imagination and originality to do it well. Back then, I felt like I was learning to fit in, but I really learned how to be someone who has the strength and courage to stand out. And it’s actually much easier than trying to be like everyone else. [Gabrielle Poccia]
