Each Thanksgiving many of us begin the holiday food indulgence, which later finds us on New Year’s Eve making resolutions to loose are turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, egg nog, ham, mash potatoes (blah blah munch munch) weight. WHY let it come to that? Check out the Valley Isle Road Runners website for more info on how to stay fit through the holiday season
Begin this holiday season on the right foot by earning the right to stuff-your- face by running the annual Turkey Trot for Fun race in Kula. Not only will you be warming up your appetite, but this run will also help support the Maui Foodbank (so remember to bring canned goods for the needy). This year’s winner may not necessarily be the fastest Ethiopian long distance runner, but the runner whom can most accurately guess their finish time (without a clock, or anything that tells the time).
