Enjoy the Aloha Spirit during Molokai’s Festivals of Aloha this Thursday through Saturday. The festivities will honor one of Molokai’s beloved aunties, the late Moana Dudoit. From the crowning of the royal court to the pa’u riders, the three-day festival is a beautiful cultural exhibit. On Thursday, start the festivities with the royal court inauguration, then tempt your taste buds in the Poke Contest. Honor the keiki on Friday with a few youth contests and the Kalo-Ulu-‘Uala Contest (traditional Hawaiian food). Saturday brings bed races, the traditional horse pa’u parade, live music and cultural displays. All events are open to the public and most are free (special events may require the $5 Festivals of Aloha 2013 button for admission). FestivalsOfAloha.com
