Zimbabwe’s unofficial musical ambassador is Oliver Mtukudzi & The Black Spirits. Gracing the Castle Theater stage with his deep voice, Mtukudzi–otherwise known as Tuku–typically captures the attention of audiences by singing in his native Shona tongue. Tuku fuses mbaqanga, Zimbabwean pop styles and the traditional kateke drumming, which creates a unique cultural experience for his audiences. 7:30pm. $35 advance, $45 day of show (half-price for kids 12 & under). Maui Arts and Cultural Center, Castle Theater (One Cameron Way, Kahului); 808-242-7469, MauiArts.org.
