Celebrate one of the Westside’s notable kumu hula during the Emma Farden Sharpe Hula Festival this Saturday under the Lahaina Banyan Tree. Enjoy traditional and modern hula performances by Aunty Emma’s halau Na Pua O Kapi’olani Hula Studio, Halau Hula Kauluokala, the Napili Kai Foundation and Lahaina-Honolua Senior Citizens Club. And there will be live music by falsetto virtuoso Kuini as well as workshops and exhibits open throughout the day. The festival will start with an evening screening of the film Kumu Hina.
