[FOOD FESTIVAL] There’s good cheesy and there’s bad cheesy. “Bad” cheesy is a guy all up in your face at the bar claiming you’re the most beautiful woman in the world while fiddling with his belt when you know damn well that you just got off work, your hair is pulled back tight and you’ve got eight hours of sweat and grease built up on your skin. “Good” cheesy is four hours of tasting and playing with cheese. Hurray! Cheese is one product you can find in just about any culture (ha!). It can be super soft, rock hard or anywhere in between, and the variation in flavors is limitless. It’s never a bad idea to get to know some more cheeses—unless, of course, you’re lactose intolerant. At the Cheese Olympics, the keiki can play cheesy games, like a cheese wheel-rolling contest, and a cheesecake-eating contest. Adults get to chew on cheese as well as have the opportunity to purchase cheese platters. Entertainment provided by Pito Javier and Lawa. For info, call 874-3930. [HEIDI KING]
