The Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s Heritage Film Festival presents Project Kuleana this Saturday, Sept. 5. A movement created by Sean Naleimaile, Kihei Nahale-a and Kamakoa Lindsey-Asing–who share the view that kuleana is what makes music Hawaiian–the evening includes screenings of several short films, a live performance and a Q&A session. Join in the effort to promote lokahi, aloha ‘aina and kuleana. $35. 7:30pm. Maui Arts and Cultural Center (One Cameron Way, Kahului), Mauiarts.org
