THE POWER OF SOIL – Do any gardening? A little farming maybe? If so, UH Maui College is hosting author and Nutri-Tech Solutions CEO Graeme Sait this Thursday. Sait’s wealth of knowledge will highlight the significance of soil on personal and societal levels. ‘FAME’ – Follow the lives of students attending a performing arts high school in New York with MAPA’s rendition of FAME. A KEIKI’S DREAM GALA – Local non-profit A Keiki’s Dream (AKD) is hosting its annual gala and this year’s theme is “The Gong Show.” Showcasing Maui’s A-list talent, laughter is bound to ensue. The evening benefits AKD’s continued efforts to make the dreams come true for keiki who face severe crises. Guests can partake in dinner, drinks, a silent and/or live auction and special features that are sure to entertain. AUGIE T – Hawaii’s own comedian Augie T is presenting his Summer of LOL. The recipient of two Na Hoku Hanohano awards, one of the stars of the locally produced Get A Job! Movie and the only local comedian to sell out the Blaisdell Arena on Oahu, it’s no secret that Augie T has what it takes. Pacific Business News recently honored him with a “40 under 40” award while Honolulu Magazine has voted him Best Comedy Show. The evening will include special guest Brad Starks, aka Bethesda Jackson.
