The six-screen movie theater at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center in Kahului has completed a $1 million improvement to enhance movie-goers’ experiences. The improvements, which took a year to complete, include new, over-sized seating that features more than 21 inches of seat width and built-in drink holders. Additional theater upgrades include new carpet, wall drapes and better lighting in the aisles.
The improvements come on the heels of the theater’s all-digital projection and sound equipment upgrade in 2014. In addition to all these seating, sound and picture improvements, there are now digital monitors in the concession area. Oh, and they replaced the wall vinyl in both the lobby and the auditorium corridor.
