[FUNDRAISER] The Pacific Cancer Foundation is a Wailuku-based non-profit that assists cancer patients and their families. It is the only group on Maui that allows patients to get clinical trials without having to fly to Oahu or the mainland. Obviously, this kind of help costs a lot of money, which they raise from good-hearted people who do stuff like donating at least $25 for the privilege of walking really fast for about five kilometers, which isn’t really that far—in this case, along a circuitous course that begins and ends at the Ritz-Carlton’s Beach House Lawn over by D.T. Fleming Beach. All donations are tax-deductible and, really, you could use the exercise. For more information, 669-2440. [ANTHONY PIGNATARO]
