Maui Erotica Slam & Costume Ball – Thu, Oct 28. 21+ only. This event has all the buzz of a shook-up bottle of hornets in heat. Infamously wicked and wild, Maui Slam’s October installation is all the more a celebration of uninhibited poetry, dancing and art — with an erotic twist (literally, twist: i.e. the stripper pole vs. sex swing bit). So, dress in your most festive costume (or lack thereof) and enjoy the dirty dance party with DJ Sweetbeats, “vamp tramp” burlesque acts, spankings, and ooh-la-lot more — all set to the “bizarre-erotic visuals” by Douglas DeBoer. $10. 9:30 p.m. Casanova, 1188 Makawao Ave., Makawao; 808-572-0220; casanovamaui.com / mauislam.com / facebook.com/mauislam
