[STAGE] Every once in a while, a friend will visit and make another location seem very appealing. That’s what happens to Wally Fukuda when his friend Harry comes to town in the play Aloha Las Vegas, by Edward Sakamoto. Wally is recently retired and living close to his children in Honolulu. Harry is from Las Vegas and makes the sparkly desert city seem like just the thing to make life interesting for Wally. Wally is sufficiently enticed and thinks it’d be a great idea to up and move. That is, until Wally tells his children about his new plan. Watch as the Kumu Kahau theater troupe displays what happens when Dad tries to flee the nest. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You may even move to Vegas. Tickets: $22, half price for keiki. McCoy Studio Theater is located at Maui Arts & Cultural Center, One Cameron Way, Kahului, 242-7469. [HEIDI KING]
