BODY & SOIL CONFERENCE – Ma’a Body and Soil Conference is returning for its 11th year. This years it follows the mantra, “As Above So Below.” The three-day festival delves into topics regarding agricultural, holistic practices and its correlation to well-being. Keynote speaker Jerry Brunetti will bring his wealth of knowledge that has helped him through his personal battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma and his journey to recovery through holistic practices. KIMIE MINER – Local girl and Big Island native Kimie Miner will stop by the Stella Blues Supper Club stage this Friday with the debut of her newly released EP, To The Sea. Drawing inspiration from her roots and travel, Miner takes the audience on her “journey thus far.” Inspired by Barrington Levy, Miner is building her musical career through a Kickstarter platform, which produced the album independently. LAHAINA SECOND FRIDAY TOWN PARTY – This month Lahaina Second Friday Town Party will teleport Maui back to the 1950s. Everyone’s invited to don your best ’50s duds and stroll Front Street–especially for the first annual Lahaina Classic Car Show. After the traditional opening by ‘Ulalena, Maui OnStage dancers will perform snippets from Grease (7pm Campbell Park). The Lahaina Town Action Committee will also host the Soroptimist International of West Maui silent auction, with proceeds helping Maui students. Over at Cool Cat, they’ll celebrate their 10th anniversary with raffles and their “808 Burger Challenge.” And as always, there will be Art Night along Front Street, foodie and merchant specials, live music and Ha’ina Hou Fridays at the Baldwin House Museum. 6pm-9pm. FANTASIA BALL – And now it’s time for Imua Family Services’ Second Annual Fantasia Ball. The evening benefits the work IFS does with the children of Maui and their families. Guests can take part in a cocktail reception and carefully crafted meal while basking in the creative work of UH Maui’s Fashion Institute students. IFS Maui Teens Got Talent contestants, along with the Maui Cello Quartet and band Espresso, will serenade the audience. VALLEY ISLE KEIKI FEST – The Valley Isle Keiki Festival is back for another year to celebrate our keiki. Attendees can look forward to affordable food booths, jumping castles, live entertainment, bike safety demos and much more. It’s all geared around creating a safe environment for kids. The annual festival has successfully filled the UH Maui Campus venue year after year. MAYJAH RAYJAH – MAYJAH RAYJAH is returning to the MACC stage for another great island music show. PUNDY YOKOUCHI GOLF TOURNAMENT – The Dunes at Maui Lani will host the 25th annual Pundy Yokouchi Memorial Golf Tournament. It’s a fitting memorial to Pundy’s love of art and golf, and will benefit the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. Serving as chairman of the state Foundation on Culture and the Arts for over a decade, Yokouchi believed everyone deserved to access art. He was also a founding member of the MACC. CHOCOLATE CELEBRATION – The Italian American Club of Maui wants you to attend a Chocolate Celebration at Ulupalakua Ranch. It’s a benefit for club scholarships. SEAN M. HOWER EXHIBIT – With 15 years behind the lens, photographer and videographer (and frequent MauiTime shooter) Sean M. Hower has set up a new photo exhibit at Wailuku Coffee Company for April. The exhibit takes from his personal photos as well as shots from sports and music. You’ve seen him shoot in the pages of MauiTime, and now you can view the rest of the world through his lens.
