There is no better way to bring people together and create positives vibes than with shave ice. Add a jumping castle, games, prizes, ono food, great entertainment, and a bike giveaway and safety course, and a legendary day is in the making. This annual event usually draws in over 6,000 attendees, half being children. For little keiki, it will be just as wondrous as Disneyland, minus the eternally long lines and slightly-spooky giant mini mouse. We have the Kiwanis Club of the Valley Isle, Maui 4-H Organization, Education of Young Children Weekly Chapter, the Neighborhood Place of Wailuku, and the County of Maui – Department of Parks and Recreation to thank for this great event, held in honor of April, The Month of the Young Child. You might even meet potential buddies for play groups, carpools, and pool parties, so make sure to make an appearance. The Valley Isle Keiki Fest will be held at UH Maui Campus for free, from 11 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, April 10th. By: Sierra Brown
