Ocean Beach’s Slightly Stoopid is ready to storm the stage live at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, with a show November 17th. One of California’s most prolific live bands, these guys barely stop to record, but their 2012 release Top of the World had fans pumped. Get sucked into their easy to like acoustic reggae rock fusion sound at the Maui show with tickets that go on sale starting from October 11.
Special guest Barrington Levy will also play the show. The current Stoopid line up is Miles Doughty (guitar, bass, vocals) and Kyle McDonald (guitar, bass, vocals), along with Ryan “Rymo” Moran (drums), Oguer “OG” Ocon (congas, percussion, harp, vocals), C-Money (trumpet), Dela (saxophone) and Paul Wolstencroft (keyboards). Additionally, “unofficial 8th member” Karl Denson of Greyboy Allstars also lent his talents throughout Top of the World, and is joining the band on tour this summer.
Slightly Stoopid will have shows on Maui, Kauai, and Oahu with proceeds raising funds for the Danny Way Foundation, an organization passionate about building state of the art skate parks in Hawaii.
