[STAGE] Charles Ludlum, founder of New York’s Ridiculous Theater Company, winner of many awards and original playwright of The Mystery Of Irma Vep: A Penny Dreadful, has also created a very tricky play—one with eight roles, but only two actors. The plot revolves around Lord Edgar and his second wife Lady Enid at their home, the Mandacrest Estate. Add in the house staff, mummies, vampires, werewolves and ghosts and you have yourself a full-blown adventure. It’ll be worth it just to see actors Tom Althouse and Alexander Cardinalli pull this off! Opening night (this Friday, Nov. 17) includes a full gourmet meal for an additional $20 and all proceeds to benefit MauiOnStage. The Mystery of Irma Vep runs weekends through Dec. 3. Fri-Sat: $18; Sun: $12. Tickets available at If the Shoe Fits, 12 N. Market St. in Wailuku, or online at www.mauionstage.com or by calling the box office at 242-6969. [HEIDI KING]
