The Japanese Cultural Society of Maui will host their Oshogatsu Traditions Dinner at Wailuku Hongwanji this Wednesday, Dec. 28. The event is open to the general public and will feature mochi pounding and sampling, a New Year’s soup made with mochi and seasonable vegetables, traditional Japanese arts and crafts and more. Tickets are available for purchase at Credit Associates of Maui, or the night of at the door. $10 for members and $15 for non-members. 5:30pm.
