SEAN DORSEY DANCE – THE MISSING GENERATION – Thu. Mar 2. This is a powerful dance-theater work that gives voice to longtime survivors of the early AIDS epidemic. The show is a love letter to a forgotten generation of survivors – those who witnessed and experienced the loss of part of an entire generation of gay and transgender people to AIDS in the 1980s and 1990s. $35 – $45. 7:30pm. LAHAINA WHALE AND OCEAN ARTS FESTIVAL – Sat. Mar 4 – Sun. Mar 5. Presented by Lahaina Town Action Committee, Lahaina celebrates the migration of the North Pacific Humpback Whales. Several Whale Research groups will educate visitors and locals alike. Artists will display their best marine-themed art for sale, while Hawaiian musicians and hula troupes entertain. ‘HEARTSTRINGS’ HANA ARTS 25TH ANNIVERSARY BENEFIT – Sat. Mar 4. This will will be an evening to remember! There will be performances by Hana Art’s talented teachers, a visual arts gallery and a farm fresh, seven course meal prepared by Hana’s own, Chef Anna Lieding. There will also be wine pairings by local sommelier, Chris Santantonio. Each seat will be entered to win an original piece of art valued at over $1200.
