Mana’o Radio (broadcasting at 91.5 FM and www.manaoradio.com), is Maui’s Free-Form Live, Commerical-Free, Non-profit Radio Station. Help support their good-intentions to continue to provide music for Hawaii by celebrating their 8th anniversary and remembering the co-founder, Barry Shannon, this weekend. Hopefully by when the festival opens, these overcast skies and tsunami scares will have given it a rest, and we can enjoy the return to normal Hawaii weather by basking in the sun at this all-day, open-air music festival. The festival will feature abot fifteen bands, including some of the usual suspects, such as Amy Hanaiali’i and her band, John Cruz, and The Throwdowns. Overhead at Barry Fest ’09: “It’s like a Maui mini-Woodstock…just a fabulous, feel-good day!” There is no such thing as having too many feel-good vibes in life, so come to Keopulani Park this Saturday, March 7th, from 11AM to 6 PM to scoop up your share of good music, food, and fun. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for keiki, only sold the day of the concert. Free parking at War Memorial Stadium. By: Sierra Brown
