ATAMIRA – Hailing from Aotearoa are the men and women of the Atamira Dance Company. The first of its kind, Atamira boasts a contemporary dance program rooted in Maori tradition. Inspired by culture, Atamira uses the art of movement to tell the tale of its indigenous people. Fulfilling a need to serve the Maori urban community, ADC’s productions have won rave reviews and toured extensively throughout the South Pacific. VEGETARIAN COOKING WITH RACHEL DAVIES – Cooking healthy has never been easier, thanks to Down To Earth. This Thursday you can join Chef Rachel Davies as she teaches how to cook dishes with organic and natural ingredients. The vegetarian cooking class will explore a variety of dishes, offering students fun and easy ways to cook. Davies will share recipes that feature local ingredients. MAKAWAO THIRD FRIDAY – Dance Under the Stars to the tunes of the Haiku Hillbillys at Makawao Friday Town Party. The “Summer Bash” continues with ono local grinds, live music and face painting for the keiki. Collections Boutique will feature Alan Hodara. Peruse the wares of local merchants while savoring flavors unique to the island. DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID JR – This year, Theatre Theatre Maui is presenting Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. Following the 2013 Westside Youth Summer Camp, camp goers will be excited to put into action the dramatic tools they’ve learned. With the help of TTM’s creative team, the Disney classic will come to life. Swim with Ariel as she daydreams about life as a human being. KULA FIELDS’ 5TH ANNIVERSARY – Kula Fields is turning five and all are invited to join the festivities. ANUHEA – Returning to the Stella Blues Supper Club stage for a two-show set is Maui’s own Anuhea. These special edition shows will be recorded live from the stage in anticipation of her upcoming music video release.
