There is a new boy band in town, but they aren’t cut from the usual cloth… these guys are way tougher than NSYNC. Support our troops! Not by knitting mittens, or wearing little pins and bumper stickers, but rather by attending their free concert with free parking at Whaler’s village from 6-8 PM on Saturday, February 6th. The popular band Hana Hou is composed of 11 members, who will perform individually as well as in small Jazz groups. This event will be a unique experience, complete with vocalists and a bugular. The 501st Air Force band was founded 25 years ago, and disbanded during the Vietnam war, to be revived in 1995 at Hickam Air Force Base. Chief Master Sergeant Larry D. Mac Taggart leads the band, which doesn’t only put on concerts, but also provides the music for military events. Whaler’s Village Fine Shops and Dining is also holding a Chinese New Year Lion Dance on February 17th, starting at 3:30 PM.
